This is Rena. I became a vegan in the summer of 2010. I build websites. Check out Managing Greatness to see my work. In my spare time, I work on The Pet Wiki. One of the biggest problems about working on a site all about animals is that you learn a lot of stuff about them. I was blissfully ignorant as to what went on in factory farms. After learning more than I really wanted to know, I felt I had no choice but to choose this new lifestyle.
The idea of this blog is not to talk about how animals are actually treated, although I may go off on tangents every now and then. The idea is about making it as easy as possible to make the switch.
Food is a very important part of all our lives. I believe that nothing tastes better than our moms’ cooking, not because our moms are all such wonderful cooks (although mine is the best in the world), but because of the way food makes us feel.
What I’m trying to do in this blog is to veganize recipes for foods that we love. I think that it’s made things easier for my family. I hope it helps yours too.
Bon Appetit!
I love the look and feel of this site. And starting out with a new chocolate chip cookie recipe can only be a good thing. 🙂 Kudos!
Thanks Diane! I actually put this one together myself – I was my own designer. The way that I figure it, there ever a bad time to have chocolate chip cookies!
