I seem to have less and less time lately. I’d love to have time to make meals with a ton ingredients, but that’s just not going to happen. I guess even if I had the time I probably wouldn’t use it to make gourmet meals, but it’s nice to think that I might. That’s why I always make sure to have a block of tofu in the house. This recipe does require a bit of preparation. You need to soak the tofu in the marinade for at least an hour. But after that it grills up really fast, and it tastes really yummy.

A few years ago I got one of the square grill pans as a gift from the supermarket for spending too much money. I took it, but I thought that I’d never use it. I mean, grilling stuff should be done outdoors, on a barbecue  not on my stove top. But I tried it out, and it works fabulously. It even makes those pretty dark lines on the tofu. How authentic is that? It’s a lot less of a headache than grilling outside, with a lot less mess. It also great to use in the winter when I have no desire to go outside to grill.

I’ve started cutting my tofu into triangles. It doesn’t make anything cook better, but it makes it look so much prettier. Presentation just makes food taste better. This is a pretty good recipe without working on the presentation. My son, who never eats tofu, will eat it. He actually likes it this way. If Mikey like it, it must be good. 🙂
